The Spring 2026 Park Slope Parents swap is DONE! 1,000 people, 100 volunteers doing more than 350 hours of sorting, shlepping, organizing, and swapping. It was a perfect day for it!
This is a great community event. People talked to their line neighbors waiting to get in, two expectant moms who originally met in Maine Sleepaway camp when they were 12 reconnected (not knowing they were both expecting), one mom who helped another mom through her hard breastfeeding journey reunited for a hug, and there are so many more success stories.

We will be moving back indoors for the Fall swap. We COULD have gotten today’s weather! It’s nice to be outside— but too much of an unknown (and a bit too small)! And the logistics make it much harder.

Thanks to the volunteers and super volunteers who helped us pivot from losing our indoor location, helped organize and sort on Thursday instead of Friday, navigate alt side parking on Friday, waited patiently as we lost 5 volunteer hours waiting for the tents to be safely lifted, and worked tirelessly trying to get clothes out to the tables after the swap happened.

Thanks also the people who donated to the swap but didn’t come. We appreciate all that you gave. We will post another video of all that we donated!

Special thanks to for giving us a home, and for giving us a space to swap. Please donate to these great organizations. They help us feel like there is home and humanity!

If this seems great like an event you would appreciate, join Park Slope Parents for this, our Book swap coming in May, and our toy swap (with ).
