🧠 What happens when brain injury clubhouse members, staff, and experts come together to share ideas? 💭

They learn from each other’s experiences and bring new perspectives back to their own communities. 💙

Last month, BAMSI’s New Start Brain Injury Clubhouse hosted the annual International Brain Injury Clubhouse Alliance (IBICA) Conference in Worcester, bringing together participants from across the country and Puerto Rico, both in person and virtually.

Brain injury clubhouses provide opportunities for people living with brain injuries to connect with peers, build skills, work toward their goals, and find a sense of community.

Over four days, attendees participated in workshops, heard from keynote speakers, toured New Start and Worcester’s Genesis Club, and explored ways to strengthen the clubhouse model. Members played an important role in these conversations, sharing their perspectives and experiences alongside staff and other experts.

👏 A big thank you to Michelle Woodward and the New Start staff and members for more than a year of planning and dedication to making this conference possible!

We’re excited to see how the ideas and connections from this conference continue to shape the clubhouse community. 💙

What a day! We had such a great time at the BAMSI Golf Tournament and 19th Hole Jam Session last week. ⛳️🎶

Thank you to everyone who came out to golf, donate, celebrate, and support BAMSI. We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of our community. Together, we raised nearly $120,000 to support the programs and services that our individuals and families depend on every day.

And a special thank you to our tournament and Jam Session sponsors for being part of the day and for their continued support of BAMSI and the people we serve.

We were thrilled to welcome U.S. Congressman Stephen F. Lynch to our Early Intervention Program today! 💙

Early Intervention (EI) supports children ages 0 to 3 who may be experiencing developmental delays or need extra support reaching milestones like walking or talking. Our dedicated team works alongside each child and family to understand their unique needs and provide individualized support that helps every child thrive.

It was an incredible opportunity to show Congressman Lynch the heart of EI and the difference we can make when children receive the support they need early in life.
