DATE: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 22nd
MEET TIME: 7 am, Stop and Shop Montello
OUTSIDE SHELTER: 8 am
We will create bags to distribute to the homeless outside of the shelter. Soup and coffee will also be given to them.
Items to donate: scarfs, hats, gloves, hot hands thing, socks, jackets, blankets, water, Gatorade, granola bars, tooth paste, pads, tampons, etc what ever else you would like to. There is no wrong answer. Any donation is helpful.
PLEASE MESSAGE ME WHAT YOUR BRINGING SO I CAN GET A HEADCOUNT. I’m calling the shelter 12/16 to get a headcount of how many people are there. This way we have enough bags for the ones inside and outside and enough items. Let’s get enough of everything. So message what your bringing.
We will meet at 7am to create bags and add to the bags I already created. We will fill select cars with the items but every person will help to pass out. I will bring a table to give out soup and coffee and more. Soup man will also be there to pass out soup.
This is about doing enough and making sure no one is left behind. If you can’t make it or don’t have items to donate please use the link below.
This started out as a joint idea with my boyfriend which is why we created a fundraiser link in fb and a gofundme. We are both young college kids who want to give back. We are still using our own money to fund this but any donation outside of our own is helpful. We already have received 500$ from gofundme to put toward this effort. Anything else would be very appreciated. We want to make sure that no one is left behind.
Anything remaining such as money or clothes etc will be giving to the shelter directly at their distribution center. I have already contacted the shelter. We cannot be on the property itself but outside of it is fine to give out items.
