Our Story Hour theme this morning was Scarecrows. The kids had fun participating in the book There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves, by having our old lady puppet eat the items in the story. We also read The Scarecow.
After our stories, we made our own scarecrows, enjoyed sensory activities checked out books and had playground time.

Our Story Hour theme this morning was Race Cars. We read Where Do Race Cars Sleep at Night.

Thank you to Kirsten Dombroski who brought her Sprint car to the library. The kids loved being able to see the car up close, and to sit in the drivers seat. Kirsten let the kids sign and draw pictures on her car. We hope this brings her luck for her next race.

Since the weather turned rainy, we enjoyed sensory play

Introducing STARCat Cares: Generations of Giving!

This October, we’re bringing a little STAR light to local seniors through participation in The
Great Give Back.

We will be collecting items for the residents at St. Mark's Terrace.

Items Needed:
word search books
adult coloring books
playing cards
markers
colored pencils
pens/pencils
lotion

We will also be spreading some STARlight to local seniors! We have cards available, on which you can write a kind note, or draw a picture to brighten someone's day.
