New Member Monday! 👋 Welcome Dundee Area Merchant's Association to the Yates County Chamber!

The Dundee Area Merchants Association is a group of local businesses that are working to promote Dundee as a great place to live, work, and play. The Association supports and strengthens the business community in Dundee by bringing local merchants together to collaborate, share ideas, and promote the village as a welcoming place to shop, dine, and visit. Through coordinated efforts and community-focused initiatives, the group works to enhance visibility for local businesses while fostering a strong sense of connection among members.

The association hosts quarterly meetings that are open to all Dundee-area merchants. These gatherings provide an opportunity to network, exchange updates, and discuss ideas that support continued growth and vibrancy in Dundee.

Congratulations to the Tavern Restaurant who is this month's Member of the Month!✨

Celebrating 40 years of Chamber membership, The Tavern Restaurant remains a beloved gathering place in Penn Yan. They are known for great food, friendly faces, and hometown tradition.

The Tavern is more than a restaurant, bar, or pub. It is a place where friends meet for lunch or a post-work drink, families gather for dinner, and visitors experience a true small-town atmosphere while exploring the Finger Lakes region.

From its historic post-Prohibition sign to generations of family ownership, The Tavern continues to bring people together from all walks life.

Steve, Donna, and Lisa continue a tradition of hospitality and hometown pride that has made The Tavern Restaurant a piece of Yates County for generations. When asked about the value of Chamber membership, owner Lisa Sneckenburg said, “The Yates County Chamber of Commerce helps us amplify our visibility in the community and helps us expand that further to visitors and tourists that come to the area year-round. We have been proud members for 40 years.”

This week our community is hosting the The Model "A" Restorers Club (MARC) national tour and meet! You've likely seen these beauties driving around the area the last couple days.

Most of these 300+ car enthusiasts are staying at local lodging and immersing themselves in the beauty of Yates County and other parts of the Finger Lakes region.

Recently we sent an email out regarding large groups we are aware of and expecting this summer that will stay in Yates County. (there will likely be more throughout the year).

The next large group is coming up on June 8th-12th (with most arriving on the 7th) where the District 4 American Contract Bridge League will be hosting their regional tournament at the Seasons on Keuka Lake in Penn Yan. (350+ attendees).

The Penn Yan Annual Cruisin’ Night returns Friday, June 5th and the Downtown Penn Yan Business Council is looking for volunteers to help make this community favorite a success.

Be a part of this fun event celebrating classic cars and small town energy while helping with setup, traffic direction, flyer distribution, cleanup, and more.
