"When you sit in the back of the class, it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. I started falling behind and I had to make a choice."
Amy Heflin, a former Pace girl, shared her journey at our recent Believing in Girls Luncheon and the moment she realized her future was hers to shape.
"At Pace, I felt encouraged, supported, and cheered on all along the way. Eventually, I started taking ownership. My focus became graduation, but I now knew I had a purpose beyond school. I wanted to go to college. I had direction."
Today, she is a teacher in Manatee County, helping the next generation of students discover their own potential. Thank you, Amy, for reminding us of the power of believing in girls. 💜
