NAFI is proud to be in attendance for the conversations taking place at the IACP Arson and Explosives Committee meeting.
One important take away from my time at the meeting is: Fire investigation is a diverse industry, and our strength comes from recognizing and embracing that diversity. From public-sector investigators and law enforcement to private-sector investigators, insurance professionals, fire service personnel, engineers, attorneys, and forensic specialists, each brings a unique perspective, expertise, and experience to the table.
No single approach or background defines this profession. Collaboration, continued education, and the exchange of ideas across disciplines are essential to strengthening our collective knowledge and advancing the science and practice of fire investigation.
At NAFI, we believe that bringing these different perspectives together makes our profession stronger and helps move the entire industry.
