October 13, 2026 Manatee orchid Society Meeting @ 6:00 P.M.
Guest speaker
Michael Sinn, Canaima Orchids
We are excited to welcome **Michael Sinn of Canaima Orchids** as our Guest speaker
Michael has a special interest in **Venezuelan Cattleya species**, orchids that include some truly spectacular members of the Cattleya family.
Michael will take us beyond simply growing these beautiful orchids and explore the species themselves, including their natural habitats, characteristics, breeding, and conservation.
For decades, he traveled throughout Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela, studying these orchids in their natural habitats. Along the way, he witnessed the destruction of many environments and the real risk of extinction faced by numerous species. This experience led him to commit to responsible cultivation and the conservation of natural ecosystems
Canaima Orchids is internationally recognized for producing plants of exceptional quality, earning medals and certificates from orchid societies around the world.
For anyone who loves Cattleyas, grows species orchids, or wants to better understand where these plants come from and how they grow in nature, this will be a talk you will not want to miss.

**Michael will also have orchids available for sale!**
He will be bringing a selection of plants from **Canaima Orchids**, giving you the opportunity to shop directly from a grower who specializes in these remarkable orchids.

A big welcome to our new members! Please be sure to say hello to them and answer any questions they have on growing orchids.
