A few stops from our recent time around town! 💙💚

We joined the School District of Manatee County for the Community Building Summit and Manatee Village Network Kickoff, supported by Bishop-Parker Foundation. The conversation focused on how local organizations can work with schools to better support students and families.

Our latest Breakfast Club took MCF donors and community partners to Soar in 4 Manatee to learn about its work with young children and their families. We love having the chance to introduce donors to local programs and give them time to ask questions.

We also joined The Lake Club Women’s Charitable Foundation for Casino Royale: A License to Give, raising funds for nonprofits serving women, children and families in Manatee and Sarasota counties. 🎲

And we were delighted to celebrate 50 years of Girls Inc. Sarasota at its anniversary dinner! 🎉

Who comes to mind when you think of someone making a difference in Manatee County?

Nominations are open for the 2027 Spirit of Manatee Awards, and Manatee Community Foundation wants to hear about the people and organizations whose contributions deserve recognition.

Five awards will honor different forms of service, generosity, and leadership:

🌟 Young Spirit Award – A young changemaker under age 21
🌟 Community Spirit Award – A business or service club that champions local philanthropy
🌟 Charles Clapsaddle Community Spotlight Award – A nonprofit professional who elevates community voices and advances local impact
🌟 Leadership Spirit Award – An individual or couple whose generosity makes a lasting difference
🌟 Mary E. Parker Lifetime Spirit Award – Someone who has devoted a lifetime to philanthropy and civic leadership

It’s always a privilege to celebrate alongside the nonprofit organizations making a difference across Manatee and our region!

We were inspired by the 📚 Pace Center for Girls, Manatee's Believing in Girls Luncheon, where alumnae shared stories of growth and resilience. We honored the incredible foster parents and families supported by 🫶🏼 Bridge a Life at their annual gala, recognizing those who open their hearts and homes to children in need. And we enjoyed an evening of music, community, and natural beauty at 🌻 Groovin’ in the Gardens with Palma Sola Botanical Park and The Pops Orchestra of Bradenton and Sarasota.

These events remind us how much our community gains when people give and come together. We’re grateful to our nonprofit partners and the supporters who help make their work possible. Together, we grow a stronger Manatee, now and forever. 💙💚💙
