So many of you are sending birthday greetings and I appreciate them. My responses are somewhat muted. Cindy was diagnosed with breast cancer Aug 4th and had a double mastectomy on August 15th. Unfortunately she had disastrous reactions to medications (NOT narcotics) she was given and both times had to have drastic emergency measures taken to stabilize her. So my best gift is that she is alive, although still hospitalized. I think you’ll understand I am not all bouncy about a happy birthday yet. Our church is taking wonderful care of us. We do not need any other physical help right now. But we do want your prayers and your understanding if we don’t respond to messages.
