This morning, our Rotary team of 10 departed for Guatemala on a dental mission to serve Mayan children in need.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Escuelashermanas.org and make a meaningful difference through this important work. Over the coming days, our team will provide much needed dental care while building relationships and sharing hope with the rural communities we serve.

We humbly ask for your prayers for safe travels, good health, and a successful mission. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated towards supplies and expenses. Your generosity has helped make this mission possible, and together we are changing lives one smile at a time.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. 🇬🇹 ❤️ 🦷

🌊 Did You Know? The Manatee River was once called the Oyster River! 🦪

Tonight, we had the pleasure of hearing from Damon Moore, founder of Oyster River Ecology for an informative presentation on local ecological restoration.

Damon educated us on an innovative—and incredibly simple—method for helping replenish oyster beds. The best part? These eco-friendly "rag pots" only costs about $6!

It was a full house at our meeting last week as we learned about all the great work by Hope Pathways from Christina Gerken.

What is it they do? They lift people out of the poverty cycle through a pathway with cross-sectional partnerships to provide care to those affected by natural disasters.

Please join us on Wednesdays @5:30PM. We will be meeting at Central Cafe during the month of June. (906 Manatee Ave E, Bradenton)

It was a fantastic evening for Bradenton Marauders baseball and Rotary Night!
Our very own Chad Braniger threw out the first pitch. Way to go, Chad!

🦟 Mosquitoes: the world’s deadliest animal.
Responsible for more than 800,000 deaths worldwide each year and illness in millions more, these tiny pests are a much bigger threat than most people realize.

Last night, our Rotary club was pleased to welcome guest speaker Christopher Lesser, Director of the Manatee County Mosquito Control District, who shared the work being done to protect our community.

Did you know?
🚁 4 helicopters fly missions at just 150 feet, typically between 8 PM–midnight
🚛 11 spray trucks cover the county
👷 12 inspectors monitor mosquito activity across a massive 750-square-mile service area
💰 All with an ad valorem budget of $9.9 million — costing the average homeowner of a $300,000 home only about $35 per year

Thank you, Christopher, for giving us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the science, strategy, and dedication required to keep our community safer and healthier!

We are also honored to have Dave Mangas, Seminar Director as a member of our club.

Last night’s Rotary social gathering at Central Cafe was a wonderful evening of fellowship as we gathered to send off a few of our snowbird members. It’s always a great time when we can step away from our regular meetings and enjoy getting to know one another better over a meal and conversation.

A special thank you to our Sergeant-at-Arms, Rich Kesky, who shared "This Week in Rotary History", highlighting the upcoming April 19th birthday of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary International. A meaningful reminder of the legacy of fellowship and service that continues to bring us together.

Join us next Wednesday at our regular meeting location, 3 Keys Brewing & Gastrobrew, at 5:30 PM.
