Huge thanks to Chris Pratt and The Terminal List for helping us spread the word about Howlers Ridge! 🙌 We’re so excited to offer nature-based healing programs in Montana—giving veterans, trauma survivors, and people in recovery the time, space, and support to pause, reconnect, and heal in nature. 🌄Why nature? Research shows time in nature improves health, lifts mood, reduces stress, and builds connection. ✅ Veterans in outdoor programs have shown up to a 30% reduction in PTSD symptoms.👉 Join our pack! With your support, we can create opportunities for healing and resilience through the power of nature. 💚 Visit our website to learn how to get involved and donate if you are able. Thank you!! Navy Seal Lt. Michael Murphy’s father, Daniel Murphy, presented Taylor Kitsch with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Bob Hope Award for Excellence in Entertainment at a USO event with the 106th Rescue Wing ewing last week.

The award honors members of the entertainment industry who positively portray or support the U.S. military. Kitsch is one of only 61 living recipients of this prestigious award.

Daniel said “I’m honored to be here to present this, not only to a very special person, but also a good friend.”

Taylor explained that “You know, Marcus Luttrell, the Lone Survivor—at my first meeting with him, there was a moment where he said, ‘You’re going to carry this torch, whether you like it or not, for the rest of my days,’ and man…have I enjoyed this journey. And I will proudly carry this torch as long as I possibly can.”

“Howlers Ridge is on 22 acres just outside Bozeman, Montana. It’s 100% veteran built to this point except when I grab a hammer and ruin something. Yeah, we have two full-time vets there right now and the crew is gonna finish the main house. Addiction has grabbed a lot of people in my family and the veteran community is huge for me as well so we are going to serve both and hopefully make a difference.” Taylor Kitsch on Aug. 5

“Nature has always been my reset. I believe that creating a change in your environment can create the change you want in yourself. Now I feel lucky to be in a position to offer that chance to others—the chance to pause and slow things down so they can reconnect and focus on their own healing.” Taylor Kitsch www.howlersridge.org
