🍂 Fall Play Ideas! 🎃

Fall is full of wonderful opportunities for children to learn, explore, and discover! 🍁

Family child care providers can turn everyday autumn materials into meaningful learning experiences. Here are a few simple ideas to try this month:

🍂 Leaf Exploration: Collect leaves, compare their colors and shapes, and practice sorting and counting.

🎃 Pumpkin Fun: Explore pumpkins with all five senses, estimate their weight, or count the seeds with the children.

🌰 Nature Discoveries: Take a nature walk and talk about the changes happening around us. (Remember to supervise closely and keep small items away from children who may put them in their mouths.)

🎨 Creative Creations: Use fall colors for painting, collage, and open-ended art activities.

The best part? Children are learning through play while building curiosity, language, early math skills, and creativity!

Commonwealth Offerings for Learning & Training (C**T) TRIS - Blackout Period: KY TRIS Unavailable for Two Weeks

KY TRIS Blackout Period (System Outage)
KY TRIS will be unavailable for two weeks beginning Friday, September 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. ET. During this outage, you will not be able to sign in to KY TRIS to complete training or perform your usual tasks. All KY TRIS-related business processes will be paused, including access to Training Records. If you need a copy of your Training Records, download them before the blackout period begins at 6:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 11.
