Expect Miracles Foundation [EMF] is a public charity that fundraises to invest in life-saving cancer research while advancing the financial and emotional health of people impacted by cancer. Our two research funds at Dana-Farber and Memorial Sloan Kettering provide incubation funding to advance research focused on 4 of the greatest challenges in cancer science: early detection, real-time prognosi

s, drug-resistant cancers, and metastatic cancer. EMF’s SAMFund helps young adult cancer survivors regain their financial footing following treatment.

19 guest bartenders took over Howl at the Moon on August 18 for Boston YPEM’s 2026 Battle of the Bartenders, raising more than $41,000 in support of young adult cancer survivors through EMF’s SAMFund Grant Program!

New York YPEM brought the energy to Tailor Public House on August 5 for Battle of the Bartenders, where 30 guest bartenders competed for the top spot while raising funds for young adult cancer survivors. Together, our bartenders, sponsors, and supporters raised more than $61,000, making this our most successful Battle of the Bartenders yet!

🔬 Last week, our Miracle Makers and top supporters toured the Daniel Heller, PhD Research Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the beneficiary of Expect Miracles Foundation [EMF]’s Innovation Fund.

Dr. Heller’s team is using nanotechnology to tackle three of cancer research’s biggest challenges: early detection, drug-resistance cancer, and metastatic cancer. Their work includes an AI-powered blood test to detect brain tumors, smarter ways to deliver drugs directly to tumors, and new treatments for previously “undruggable” cancers, bringing promising breakthroughs closer to patients. 🧬

Since our first $30,000 grant in 2015, EMF has provided $3.27 million to Dr. Heller’s Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, including a record $550,000 grant last year. 💙
