Our hearts are with our coalition partners at the Cape Verdean Association of Boston and the entire Cabo Verdean community following the devastating bus accident in Fogo that claimed 25 lives and injured 14 others. Many of those lost were children and young people, and this tragedy has touched families here in Boston as well as across the diaspora.

We ask the entire Voter Choice Massachusetts family to keep the victims, their loved ones, and everyone affected by this unimaginable loss in your thoughts.

The Cape Verdean Association of Boston and its community partners will hold a candlelight vigil this Sunday, September 13, at 12:30 p.m. at Allen Park, near St. Peter’s Church at 19 Church Street in Dorchester. All are invited to come together in solidarity to mourn, remember, and honor those whose lives were lost.
