Join the Association of Haitian Women in Boston (AFAB) for our Annual Domestic Violence Prevention Forum.

This year, we’re focusing on the challenges survivors face during the TPS immigration crisis, when fear and uncertainty can make it even harder to seek safety and support.

We’ll hear a personal testimony from Cindy Dieujuste-Jacob, and therapist Marlyne Chery will share guidance on healing and support. Everyone is welcome.

Rest in power, Pierre Damas Bel. 🕊️💜

Pierre was 20 years old. A proud high school graduate with a future ahead of him. He lost his TPS protection and was forced to live under ICE ankle monitoring, treated like a criminal for seeking an education and a better life. Soon after, he was gone.

This is the human cost of policy that criminalizes immigrants instead of protecting them. Ankle monitors don’t make communities safer. They make our neighbors afraid, isolated, and unwell.

Rest in power, Pierre. 🤍

Today we celebrate more than a flag. We celebrate unity, resilience, culture, and the generations of Haitians who fought, created, led, and carried a nation forward. 🇭🇹

From Catherine Flon’s hands to the strength of Haitian communities across the world, Haitian Flag Day reminds us that our history is rooted in courage and collective power.

Bòn Fèt Drapo Ayisyen.
223 years later, the spirit of Haiti continues to live through its people.

L’union fait la force. ✨
