A special thanks to the United Way of Washington County, Maryland for many different recognitions last night at their annual awards dinner. The Jack E. Barr Center for Well-Being received an important grant to help those seeking mental health services that are uninsured or underinsured. The Asian American Center of Frederick in partnership with the Hagerstown Area Religious Council hosts one of our ENOUGH staff, Julien Patrick, who was recognized with the very deserving inspirational individual award! And to our surprise, San Mar was named Non Profit Impact Partner of the Year! Go TEAM!

We are excited to share that we have made the decision to promote one of our own, Abby Giancola, to the position of Director of Treatment Foster Care! Abby began her journey at San Mar as a Bachelor's level intern in Social Work. She has worked many years as a TFC case manager, along with additional work as a Jack E. Barr Center therapist before taking this next step in her career. She has accomplished much during her time at San Mar and recently has passed her clinical licensure and is now an LCSW-C. Please join us in congratulating Abby!

We joined the launch event yesterday at Cherry Hill Strong, and were joined by San Mar Board Vice President and Meritus Health CSO David Lehr, who is supporting outreach to families in need.
