New guy alert!

Meet Mr. Bill, the sweetest senior gentleman you’ll ever meet! 🐾

At almost 9 years old and 15 pounds, Mr. Bill has mastered the art of being an easygoing, lovable companion. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to hang out with his people, enjoy a cozy nap, and remind everyone what a very good boy looks like. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, sleeps peacefully through the night, and is completely house-trained. Basically? He’s a rescue dreamboat.

Mr. Bill does have diabetes, which means he needs insulin injections twice a day with breakfast and dinner, along with a healthy diet to keep him feeling his best. But don’t let that scare you, he takes it like a champ and is thriving with good care and routine.

This sweet boy found himself at rescue after his mommy became too sick to care for him anymore. Because of all the big changes in his life recently, Mr. Bill has a little separation anxiety. He may cry or bark when left alone, but he’s not destructive. He just misses his person and wants reassurance that they’ll come back home.

Mr. Bill is looking for a loving family who will help him continue to thrive, spoil him with the comfort and care he deserves, and let him enjoy his golden years surrounded by love. In return, he promises endless sweetness, loyal companionship, and expert-level cuddles.

Meet Lacey! 🐾
Lacey is a 8 month old, 14-pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a small body! This happy-go-lucky girl is always on the move—whether it’s playtime, exploring, or just being your little shadow, she’s ready for anything.
Lacey is super playful and full of energy. She loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends, but she can be a bit of a “bounce-right-into-your-face” kind of girl at first. Because of that, she’ll do best with dogs who are patient and tolerant while she settles in and learns her manners.
She’s currently working on her crate training. Lacey does well being in her crate, but she’s still learning and may have occasional accidents—so she’ll need a home that’s willing to continue her training with consistency and patience.

Meet Pancake 🐾
Pancake is a 5-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua mix with the sweetest soul. She can be a little timid at first—like many dogs—but once she warms up, she truly shines. She’s incredibly loving, gentle, and forms strong bonds with her people.
Pancake does great with other dogs when introduced properly and enjoys calm, positive interactions. She would do best in a home with older, more relaxed children or in a quieter, adult-only environment where she can feel safe and comfortable.
Sadly, Pancake didn’t receive proper preventative care in her previous life and is heartworm positive. The good news is she is currently symptom-free and remains a happy, playful, and otherwise healthy pup.
Pancake has so much love to give and is just waiting for the right family to give her the life she deserves. She will make a truly wonderful companion 💕

New pup alert.

Meet Presh. 💗
Presh is a 9 year old Poodle mix who recently joined Sammy's Hope Rescue. She will not be available for adoption until her medical care and surgeries are completed.
Yesterday, Ballerina and Squeaks went to the vet to have their vaccines updated. They've been with us for a year now, so it was time for their annual boosters.
When I arrived to pick them up, one of the veterinarians told me there was a little dog in the lobby who desperately needed help. She had come in for an exam and vaccines, but the visit revealed something much more serious. Her abdomen is covered with mammary masses that will require extensive surgery.
The vet asked if I could take her and give her a chance.
So I went to the vet with two dogs and came home with three.
Because sometimes you meet a dog who needs help so badly that saying no just isn't an option.
Presh will need at least two major surgeries. One mammary chain will need to be removed first, then she will need time to heal before the second surgery can be completed. She will also be spayed during this process.
Over the coming weeks, I will be raising funds to help cover her medical expenses. I'd like to start with a goal of $600 and then reassess what additional funds will be needed as treatment progresses.

Meet Emma, a sweet Shih Tzu/Poodle mix weighing about 24 pounds and estimated to be 10 years old. She’s a quiet, chill little girl looking for a forever home where she can relax, cuddle, and simply enjoy life with her people.
Emma is the type of dog who is happy just being near you. She loves belly rubs, enjoys lounging on the couch, and will also happily chill on the floor right beside you. When you come home, she’s always there to greet you at the door, and if you talk to her, her tail immediately starts wagging. Every now and then she’ll give a few sweet kisses too. She’s very easy on a leash and enjoys calm walks and sniffing around outside.
She also absolutely loves car rides and makes the perfect little co-pilot for trips around town or long rides for a vacation.
She does bark if the other dogs bark, and she enjoys watching squirrels and cats with the other dogs in the yard. Around the house, she’s mostly a laid-back couch potato who just wants a cozy place to relax and people to love.
Emma does need rugs or traction on slippery floors because it can take her a moment to get her back feet underneath her on slick surfaces. Once she gets going, though, she does just fine.
Emma has been through quite a bit medically and has handled it all like a champ. She previously had mammary tumor surgery that removed an entire mammary chain along with lymph nodes. She also had surgery to remove a large skin tag on her head and recently had a dental with extractions.
She does have a heart murmur and takes Vetmedin twice daily to help manage it. Emma is fully vetted, medically cared for, and ready for her forever family.
Emma also needs to lose quite a bit of weight, and we are already helping her work toward a healthier lifestyle.
Despite everything she’s been through, Emma remains a loving, gentle companion who would be perfect for someone wanting a calm, affectionate dog to share quiet days, cozy evenings, and car rides with.

Meet Cholo!
Cholo is an adorable 9-month-old chihuahua/ dachshund mix with a big personality packed into a tiny body. He weighed 8 pounds at the time of his neuter and is just a happy, playful little guy who truly loves being around people.
Cholo is sweet, affectionate, and full of fun puppy energy. He loves attention, enjoys playing, and is always ready to make you smile. He’s the kind of pup that just makes everything feel lighter when he’s around.
Cholo does have a bit of excited p*e, typically when he’s about to be picked up. This is very common in young, submissive pups, especially while they’re still building confidence. We’re hopeful he may grow out of it with time and reassurance, but we want to be fully transparent that we can’t guarantee it.
Overall, Cholo is just a joyful, loving puppy who adores people and brings so much happiness wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion to grow with, Cholo might be your perfect match 🐾💙

✨ Meet Comet! ✨
Comet is a 1-year-old Standard Poodle weighing 60 pounds of pure fun and love! 💙 One of my absolute favorite breeds, Standard Poodles are incredibly smart, loyal, athletic, and full of personality — and Comet is all of that and more.
This happy, goofy, water-loving boy is playful, sweet, and just an all-around good pup. He’s been around both small and large dogs, as well as multiple cats in his previous home, and has done great with everyone.
Be warned… he is an “in-your-face” kind of guy! 😄 He LOVES giving hugs and being close to his people. If you want a dog that will adore you loudly and proudly, Comet is your boy.
