Bolton Majors 70B Claim an 8-5 Victory Over Lancaster Blue in the MAC League Quarterfinals
Bolton was the first on the board in the 1st inning when Jack McBreen homered to right field, scoring three runs. They added another run in the 2nd inning after Liam Brennan flew out, knocking in an RBI.
Lancaster Blue tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to an error, and a double by Andrew Soldi.
Bolton took the lead, 8-4, in the bottom of the 5th thanks to singles by Evan Eaddy, Callum Cabral and Brody Snyder.
Jack earned the win for Bolton, giving up three hits and one run over two innings, striking out five and walking two. Sam Bradbury stepped on the bump first for Bolton. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and one run over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Andrew stepped on the mound first for Lancaster Blue. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and four runs (three earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking four. Tommy Bradica appeared in relief for Bolton in-between Sam and Jack.
Jack drove the middle of the lineup, leading Bolton with three runs batted in and went 1-for-2 on the day. Brody and Evan each collected two hits. Bolton had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Jackson Daelhousen and Callum led the team with two bases on balls each. Collectively the team tallied 12 stolen bases for the game.
