3 small but dead trees fell on the volleyball court. Only thing holding them up was bitter sweet vine until the roots finally gave out.

Knarly mess to get at the trees themselves

Does seem that most of what we do is reactionary

I took the opportunity to help the hammer crew today with their work day. Scouts and adults worked together to build a new bridge on legion trail. They have helped us at Resolute for several projects so it’s always good to give back. I had to leave but they were installing the railing by 1:30pm.

This bad boy came down in the last windstorm across Apache trail. We were able to cut it into bite size pieces to move with Sully yesterday. Also lowered a nuisance stump on the trail and finished cleanup of brush from 2 pines near Kiowa

Discovered broken step riser and tread at the ranger house yesterday. Fixed by Res Engineer Tom today. Interesting construction-no stringers. Things that make you go hmmm.🤔

Busy weekend at Resolute. Based on unit headcount estimates there were over 400 people in camp this weekend. Two Spirit of Adventure districts combined to run a camporee at day camp. Several packs and troops and cars in the overflow lot. There was training for BB’s and archery as well.

This was our last arrival at 5:30pm today hiking 8-9 miles from Acton as a training excercise for Philmont this summer. I love lots of noise and kids enjoying the camp!

Do you want to see more campers attend Adventure Day Camp at Camp Resolute? The financial challenge to attend camp is greater than ever so we have a challenge for you. Could you donate $5 for every year you attended and worked at Camp Resolute? Or could you spare any other amount to benefit the experience of Camp Resolute?

To learn more and donate to the Camp Resolute Campership fund, follow this link/post https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DFyLRHUey/

Where were you when you first learned to lead? 🌲✨

At Camp Resolute or Camp Squanto (Maybe even Camp Child), we believe that leaders are made around campfires, on the waterfront, and along the trails. This year, Mayflower Council has already distributed over $30,000 in Camperships to ensure every Scout can attend camp—but the need is still growing.

The $5 Alumni Challenge: Calling all legacy council alumni! We’re asking you to "pay it forward." Donate just $5 for every year you spent as a camper or staff member. Your contribution directly funds a life-changing week for a local Scout.

Tag your favorite camp staffer or fellow alumni in the comments and challenge them to match you!

Let’s ensure the next generation of leaders has a seat at the picnic table. ⚜️
