We’re honored to have the AMVETS Post 208 Veterans Fishing Derby featured in the Community Advocate! Thank you to everyone who helped make this special afternoon of veterans helping veterans possible.

Read the full article:

It didn’t take long for Robert Roy to reel in the first catch at the 37th annual Fishing Derby on September 12. Roy, a Vietnam veteran from East Boston who served in the U.S. Army and Air Force, pulled in a 14-inch trout.

A huge thank you to the Hudson Fire Department for helping make today’s Veterans Fishing Derby even more special!

They brought out the ladder truck and proudly flew the American flag high above the pond as we came together for the Pledge of Allegiance.

It was an incredible sight and a perfect way to honor our veterans and kick off a great day of fishing. Thank you, Hudson Fire Department, for being part of such a special day!

The Veterans fishing derby is a huge success.

The AMVETS Post 208 Veterans Fishing Derby has been a great success!

Here are a few photos from throughout the day as our veterans, families, volunteers, first responders, and community came together for a great day at the pond.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make today possible, our first responders for their continued support, and everyone who came out to join us.

Most importantly, thank you to our veterans. Today is all about you, and we’re proud to be able to bring everyone together for such a special day!

A couple more videos from the 2026 AMVETS Post 208 Golf Tournament for your viewing pleasure!

We had plenty of great moments throughout the day, and sometimes the videos tell the story better than the photos.

Here are a couple more clips from August 29th. Thanks again to everyone who came out, had some fun, and helped make this year’s tournament a great one.

Enjoy!

Here’s a little action from the 2026 AMVETS Post 208 Golf Tournament!

If you’ve never seen an air cannon on a golf course before, here’s how it works. Instead of hitting the ball from the tee, golfers get to use the air cannon to launch their golf ball toward the green — and it definitely adds a little excitement to the round!

The challenge was simple: get your shot onto the green and as close to the pin as possible. The golfer who finished closest to the pin took home a Bluetooth speaker.

Check out these videos to see the air cannon in action!

One last round of photos from the 2026 AMVETS Post 208 Golf Tournament!

We couldn’t wrap up our tournament photos without sharing a few more from August 29th. It was a full day of golf, good times, and great people coming together in support of AMVETS Post 208 and the veterans we serve.

These photos are a great reminder of what makes this tournament such a special event each year — the people who show up, participate, volunteer, and support our Post.

That’s a wrap on this year’s tournament photos. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did, and we look forward to doing it all again next year!

More great moments from the 2026 AMVETS Post 208 Golf Tournament!

We’re continuing to share photos from an incredible day on the course. It was great to see so many familiar faces, new friends, plenty of laughs, and some friendly competition throughout the tournament.

Events like this are about more than golf. They’re about bringing people together and continuing the work we do for veterans throughout our community.

Here are a few more memories from August 29th. Thanks to everyone who helped make the day one to remember!
