Program: Stop and Smell the Lilacs
Join Master Gardner Christine Paxhia for an evening presentations which delves into the history of lilacs, how they came to the US, and how to plant, care, prune and propagate them.

The Hudson Garden Club we’re treated to tea and sweets while learning the do’s and don’ts of entering the flower show. Our very own Donna Shapleigh went through the rules for Floral Design for tray tables. A flower show favorite exhibit.

Last Monday March 2, 2026 the Hudson Garden Club spiced up their life with Claire Silverstein from Garden Therapy. Claire gave a brief history on herbs and spices their health benefits and how to store and use them.

Hudson Garden Clubs Program: Make your own Seasonings scheduled for February 23rd is canceled due to the weather.

It is rescheduled for Monday March 2nd, 6:00pm at the Hudson Senior Center

Marsha from Cordelia's Farm in Berlin lead a swag making class for Hudson Garden Club members. We learned the art of creating beautiful decorative swags from fresh greenery. It was a delightful pre-holiday gathering for members to catch up with each other and share creative talents among themselves.

Garden club members gathered in October to create a mini pumpkin fall decoration. It was fun to see each unique one at the end of the meeting.

Update: the bulbs have been given away:) Ah, October! It's not just time to enjoy this crisp fall weather and colorful foliage, it's also crocus planting time! Our Garden Club has a beautiful stash of crocus bulbs to give away.
Crocuses will spread out over time, so even a few of these easy to plant bulbs will bring an early spring to your yard after each winter for years to come. They’ll do best in a sunny area.

Mike Badia from the Mass Orchid Society gave us an interesting and informative presentation on orchids. We all came away with an appreciation for this wonderful plant.

The Hudson Rotary Club constructed this beautiful memorial for Paul Cellucci 10 years ago. Garden Club members, with the financial support of the Hudson Rotary Club planted all new perennials at the memorial in front of Town Hall. Stop by and check out the improvements.
