We are so honored to receive this generous grant from the Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation. The following is Nick's response as to what this means to Glocal:
"This funding means that people who have been forced to flee their homes and communities, who have traveled the arduous “refugee highway’ and who have found refuge in the Treasure Valley will experience a community of welcome, a community that cares about them and wants them to be safe and to thrive as they journey forward in this new chapter of their lives. The IWCF grant means Glocal will be able to assist more than 80 additional families with rental, utility and/or food assistance."

Opening Day for the Tuesday Market is next week, June 2nd!
Join us each Tuesday from 4:30-6:30pm throughout the summer for fresh veggies and fruits, kids crafts and local artisans. New this year…live music and grab and go foods! The Tuesday Market will also feature visits from Boise Bike Project, the library and more. Whether you’re stopping by for produce, food, music or simply to catch up with friends and meet new neighbors, there’s something for everyone at the Tuesday Market!

Temporary housing host needed! 🏠 We are helping a caseworker search for some temporary summer housing for their client! She is a 20 year old female from Caldwell taking summer classes at BSU. She needs housing this summer Monday-Thursday nights in Boise. She will go home on the weekend. Please let us know if you are interested in helping and we will connect you to her caseworker!

Zahra is 14 years old.
She has lived in Camp As Sayliyah for more than a year and a half under U.S. oversight and hasn’t been to school since the Taliban took over Afghanistan.
