It's that time of year again! We are gathering donations from friends and partners to bless Ukrainian widows with a special Christmas present. Sponsor a grandmother for $30! Share the project with friends!

Every Christmas, with your support, we provide a Christmas package to 200 widows living alone in Ukraine. Most live on very limited pensions and often go without simple comforts. Grandma Galina lives alone. She's been a widow for 4 years. Since we started visiting, she's become very open to spiritual conversations and prayer! She listens to the audio bible we gave her, and and carries it in her pocket when she works in the garden. Galina helps her neighbors as much as she can.

This past winter, she couldn't step on her foot, after an examination, the doctor said that her knee joint was destroyed. Grandma Galina's son borrowed 100,000 hryvnia ($2,400) from a local businessman for a knee operation. They collected money around the city to pay off the debt! Since the operation, granGrandmadma Galina is gradually started ing to walk.

She always thanks God and our volunteers for the help, prays with me for peace in Ukraine, fand or the war to end. For Easter, I bought "Edygeisky" cheese for the widows, it is soft and tasty. Many widows have no teeth or only a few and cannot chew anything hard. Everyone was grateful for cheese, sour cream, and butter. These products are expensive and widows cannot afford to buy them.

Meet our volunteers from Borodyanka, Ukraine, Elena & Vladimir. They have faithfully served the vulnerable since the earliest days of the Russian invasion. Through the generosity of our friends like you, Mir Ministries continues to partner with the body of Christ in Ukraine each week, in several regions of Ukraine.

Would you consider partnering with us with a one-time or monthly donation?

With the current political climate, our financial support has decreased and we're now only able to provide 30-50 care packages per month, down from our previous 300-500! We've been prayerfully rotating villages to bless, sending all that we can each month. Each package costs $25, and for some represents 50% of their monthly grocery costs to live!

Beyond the food, it's such a beacon of hope for our teams to be resourced with partners in the West - to know they are not alone as believers sharing Christ in a very difficult season.

Grandpa Vasily lives alone. He lost his wife 15 years ago, and both of his sons have died. His daughter-in laws don’t communicate with him and he lives alone with his cat, Thomas. He has a prothesis on his right hand, and manages the the house by himself. Natasha, our widows co-ordinator in Rzyshchiv (Lighthouse Ukraine), visits Vasily regularly and helps him with his garden in warmer months.

Vasily was a lifelong atheist, until this past December, when he turned to Christ and confessed Him as Saviour! He is so grateful for the love and practical help with groceries that we’re able to provide each month. Please pray for Vasiliy and his new journey of faith.
