Hill Country Daily Bread (HCDBM) facilitates the formation of long-term Christ-centered relationships while addressing the physical needs of families and children living in poverty. More than 40,000 individuals live in poverty in the Texas Hill Country. Unfortunately, most of our neighbors are unaware of the extreme need which exists in our community and many of the needs of the impoverished remai
n unmet. HCDBM is the regional resource center for church outreach programs and non-profit agencies that serve those in poverty and crisis in an eight county area in the Texas Hill Country. Our mission is to address the needs of thousands of those in poverty in partnership with over seventy Christian organizations, dozens of secular groups, and hundreds of volunteers who are answering God’s call. Our multilayered mentoring programs have been successful in addressing the underlying issues surrounding situational and generational poverty. The core of our mission is long-term family and student mentoring relationships. These relationships are developed by our ministry outreach volunteers as we support local churches in bringing the life-saving message of Jesus Christ to those we serve. HCDBM is the central catalyst that mobilizes ministries and volunteers to serve others by delivering food, mentoring, diapers, basic necessities, love and hope to those in need. HCDBM currently serves over 1,500 families per year utilizing our Family Mentoring Grocery Box Program. We also serve 70,000 individuals through our Community Resource Program. We are currently raising funds to construct a new Regional Resource and Training Center capable of supporting multiple service ministries.
