🏠💙 Turning an Apartment Into a Home

For a mother and her two children — a 7-month-old baby and a 9-year-old — a new apartment at Cityhouse represents much more than a place to live. It represents a fresh start after experiencing homelessness.

With funding provided to Boca West Children’s Foundation, an empty apartment was transformed into a warm and welcoming home. BWCF Chief of Staff Christina Irving joined Boca West volunteers Laurie Barnum and Duffy Lieber to paint and prepare the space, while the BWCF team shopped for additional necessities and finishing touches using funding generously provided by an anonymous donor.

We are thrilled to share some very special news!

Boca West Children’s Foundation has been named Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Association of Fundraising Professionals, Palm Beach County Chapter

We are especially grateful to Suzy Broad, Founder and Executive Director of who nominated our Foundation for this incredible honor. As one of our valued charity partners, Suzy has seen firsthand the impact we can make when our community comes together to help children and families in need.

We will be honored at the National Philanthropy Day celebration on November 12 at the , joining an extraordinary group of past honorees who have made a lasting difference throughout our community.

This recognition belongs to our entire Boca West Children’s Foundation family — our Board, donors, volunteers, staff, charity partners and supporters. For 17 years, your generosity and commitment have helped us change the lives of children throughout Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

🌟 Discovering What’s Possible

At PROPEL PLAY, summer is about more than staying busy. It’s about giving young people the chance to try something new, challenge themselves and discover what they’re capable of.

This summer, students explored everything from swimming and robotics to dance, drumming, chess, boxing, self-defense and reading.

One of the biggest successes happened in the pool. Children who were initially hesitant to even enter the water progressed to swimming with confidence and excitement. 💙

Those moments are why Boca West Children’s Foundation is proud to support programs like PROPEL PLAY — because sometimes an opportunity to try something new becomes the moment a child realizes:
