Learning from one of the sport’s most influential coaches meant more than studying forehands and footwork. It was about understanding what it takes to develop confidence, discipline, resilience, and a mindset that lasts long after the final point. Tennis is a mirror.

It's you, the ball, and whatever's going on in your head — no teammate to lean on, no timeout to hide behind. That's why the highs feel so high and the lows feel so low. Just like boxing, judo, UFC... it's a one-on-one sport, which means it's really just you figuring yourself out.

The secret isn't just physical fitness (though that helps). It's the rituals. The routines. And who you surround yourself with — because that shapes everything.

For Scott, that's the whole point of coaching: it was never about him. It's about the player in front of him.

We all know talent is everywhere, but the opportunity to step onto the court is not.

If you grow up without access to resources, getting started is almost impossible. Having the right tools is only a tiny part of the equation. You need a system that supports you, someone to guide you, and a community that shows up to help you grow.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and it's why we started working on a way to bridge this gap.

We're trying out a "Send It Forward" model. The idea is to take the momentum, resources, and success from people who have already made it, and use that to directly fund and support the next generation of creators and builders who are just starting out.

When you engage and grow with us, you are helping someone else get their start who otherwise never would have had the chance.
