This is what it looks like to .

Right here in Fannin County, Georgia, 325 children receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Behind every book is a community of people who believe in the power of giving—our donors, volunteers, local partners, and supporters who help make this program possible.

Tomorrow, Friday September 25, Give Like Dolly Day, you can help us reach even more children and families in Fannin County, Georgia. Every gift helps us continue building a community where children can grow up surrounded by the joy of books and reading.

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, 240 children (so far) in Fannin County find a book in the mailbox — because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.

Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you.
