LifeHouse Recovery Organization was proud to participate in the Dixmoor/Harvey School District 147 Back-to-School Event at Rosa Parks Middle School in Dixmoor!

Families enjoyed an exciting day filled with free backpacks and school supplies, complimentary haircuts, bounce houses, a petting zoo, horse and pony rides, and many other fun activities. Attendees were also treated to free food sponsored by LifeHouse Group. Wishing every student, family, teacher, and staff member an outstanding school year!

LifeHouse Recovery Organization proudly hosted a Free Community Food Distribution event at the Dixmoor Community Center. The event was open to residents of Dixmoor and surrounding communities, helping local families and individuals access food and essential resources.

They give residents the opportunity to enjoy safe, sober, and meaningful activities while building positive connections with one another. Recovery is not only about rebuilding lives—it is also about creating moments of joy, belonging, and brotherhood.

A special thank you to the Black Ensemble Theatre for generously providing free tickets for LifeHouse residents to attend the Men of Soul musical. Our residents had the opportunity to enjoy an incredible evening filled with music, culture, inspiration, and community.

This year’s celebration was especially meaningful as communities across the country commemorated America’s 250th anniversary. We were honored to join residents, families, local leaders, and community partners in celebrating freedom, unity, resilience, and the spirit of service.
