On August 19th, LifeHouse Recovery Organization was proud to participate in the 5th Annual Career & Resource Fair for Justice-Involved Individuals as a community resource vendor. The event brought together employers, service providers, community organizations, and other partners to connect justice-involved individuals with employment opportunities, supportive services, and resources that can help create pathways toward greater stability and long-term success.

On Saturday, August 1st, LifeHouse Recovery Organization was proud to partner with Dixmoor/Harvey School District 147 for its 2026 Back-to-School Event! The event brought families from throughout the community together for an afternoon packed with activities, resources, and plenty of fun.

On Saturday, September 19, LifeHouse Recovery Organization was proud to once again partner with the Village of Dixmoor for our Free Community Food Distribution event! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. We are grateful to continue working together to support Dixmoor and our surrounding communities!

Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15, is a time to honor and recognize the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities to the United States. The month is significant not only for its celebration of cultural diversity but also for its historical roots, marking the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua on September 15, followed by Mexico on September 16 and Chile on September 18.

LifeHouse Recovery Organization was proud to participate in the Dixmoor/Harvey School District 147 Back-to-School Event at Rosa Parks Middle School in Dixmoor!

Families enjoyed an exciting day filled with free backpacks and school supplies, complimentary haircuts, bounce houses, a petting zoo, horse and pony rides, and many other fun activities. Attendees were also treated to free food sponsored by LifeHouse Group. Wishing every student, family, teacher, and staff member an outstanding school year!

LifeHouse Recovery Organization proudly hosted a Free Community Food Distribution event at the Dixmoor Community Center. The event was open to residents of Dixmoor and surrounding communities, helping local families and individuals access food and essential resources.

LifeHouse residents gathered for a special Fourth of July weekend movie night. Events like these are an important part of the LifeHouse experience. They give residents the opportunity to enjoy safe, sober, and meaningful activities while building positive connections with one another. Recovery is not only about rebuilding lives—it is also about creating moments of joy, belonging, and brotherhood.
