Last year, Kellogg Cares Day brought so many helping hands to the Hope Center, and together we were able to get a lot done for our gardens and the community we serve.

💚🌱 This Saturday, we’re doing it again! Join Kellogg alumni and their families as we harvest fresh food for local families, prepare our gardens for winter, and tackle projects around the Hope Center. Our last Auto Basics Workshop had such an incredible response, we decided to do another one! 🚗🔧

Join us for a General Maintenance Auto Workshop, where we’ll spend the morning getting to know our cars a little better. We’ll walk through simple, practical car care, how your vehicle works, and what to do when something goes wrong.

And this time, everyone is welcome—women and men! No experience needed. Come with your questions and learn alongside your neighbors.

What an incredible Yoga event at The HOPE Center! 🌿

It was wonderful to see our community come together to slow down, move, and enjoy a little time outdoors surrounded by nature.

During Hunger Action Month, we’re proud to celebrate Geno McKenna, our Indoor Garden Director, recently spotlighted by multiple news outlets for his work in hydroponics and aquaponics.

At The Hope Center, our commitment goes beyond providing nearly a ton of fresh vegetables to our community. Our greater goal is to teach our neighbors how to grow their own food—creating knowledge, sustainability, and food security that lasts.

Give someone food for a day; teach them to grow, and you help feed them for a lifetime. 🌱

Our Putting Your Garden to Sleep workshop has a new date! We’ll now be getting together on Saturday, October 10 from 10 AM–12 PM at Hope Center.

🌱 Aquaponics Workshop is TOMORROW!

Never heard of aquaponics? That’s okay — that’s exactly why we’re having this workshop.

Aquaponics is a way of growing plants where fish help provide the nutrients the plants need to grow. Tomorrow, you’ll get to see a working system up close, ask questions, and learn what it actually takes to get started.

And we know it works! Together, Hope Center’s aquaponics and hydroponics systems have already produced 250+ pounds of fresh greens this year, with hundreds more plants growing.
