Today’s reminder: your body is not the enemy. 💚

Diet culture gives us rules:
“Eat this, not that.”
“Don’t eat after this time.”
“You already ate, so you shouldn’t be hungry.”
“Save your calories for later.”

But your body has its own signals…hunger, fullness, satisfaction, and energy.

Learning to listen to those cues instead of constantly following external rules can be a more supportive way to care for yourself.

And if you’ve spent years ignoring or overriding those signals, you may not recognize them right away. That’s okay. This is something you can rebuild over time. 🌱

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to start listening.

Because food is not a moral issue, and your body is worthy of care. 🤍

📱 We live in a world that tells us every bite needs to be measured, tracked, and analyzed. But for many people, what starts as “awareness” slowly becomes control.

Our bodies weren’t designed to be ruled by apps, streaks, or numbers. They were designed to communicate with us.

Learning to trust your body’s hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues can be a powerful step toward healing your relationship with food. You don’t have to earn your meals. You don’t have to justify every bite. And you don’t need permission to nourish yourself.

Food is fuel, but it’s also meant to be enjoyed. 💚

Clean eating sounds healthy on the surface, but for many people it can become dieting in disguise.

When we label foods as “clean” or “bad,” we often create rules that lead to guilt, shame, and an unhealthy relationship with food. Food doesn’t have moral value, and your worth isn’t determined by what you eat.

True health isn’t built on fear or perfection. It’s built on nourishment, flexibility, and giving yourself permission to enjoy all foods without guilt.

Let’s stop chasing control and start building peace with food.💚

There was so much more than movement happening at the Move with Hope event.

It brought our community together to celebrate joyful movement, support eating disorder recovery, and remind people that our worth is never determined by calories burned, miles completed, or the number on a scale.

Whether you ran, walked, practiced yoga, volunteered, or simply showed up, you helped make a difference. Every step taken helps One Hope Project continue providing hope, recovery resources, and prevention education to those impacted by eating disorders.💚

Disrupting Diet Culture with One Hope Project 💚 Today’s Topic: Restriction Can Lead to Overeating ⬇️

We’ve been taught that more restriction equals more control. But our bodies were never designed to thrive that way.

When you restrict food, whether physically by eating less or mentally by labeling foods as “bad,” your body notices. It responds by increasing hunger, cravings, and food-focused thoughts because it’s doing exactly what it was created to do: keep you alive.

So if you’ve ever felt “out of control” around food after a period of restriction, that isn’t a lack of willpower or discipline. It’s your body trying to protect you.

The cycle of restriction and overeating isn’t a personal failure, it’s a biological response.

Healing begins when we stop fighting our bodies and start working with them instead. Food isn’t something you have to earn, and your worth has never been determined by what’s on your plate. 💚
