Saturday was National Honey Bee Day and Toddler Time on the Trail took the opportunity to celebrate! 🐝 We learned all about the hard work that they do every day to keep our flowers, produce and habitats thriving. We tasted 2 different kinds of honey and observed how different they can taste based on what the bees are currently pollinating. We made honeycomb prints and ended our time saying goodbye to some of our friends. As the summer comes to an end, some of our friends are heading onto new adventures. We will miss them but are so happy we got to be a part of their path. ☀️

CONGRATULATIONS to our friends at VOICE Up Berks and Youth Volunteer Corps of Reading !❤️🙌🥳 We are incredibly grateful for our relationship with Christi Terefenko and everyone involved in making such a positive impact in Berks County! ✨

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! We were thrilled to see our founders Christie Botterbusch Rachel Winans Kuhn and Christi Terefenko featured in today’s Reading Eagle story. These 3 trailblazers set out to make Berks County a better place for all and to center and amplify youth voices in our community. 10 years later is a good time to pause and reflect on all that VOiCEup Berks has accomplished while simultaneously adjusting our sails and continuing our journey! There is still so much to do and so many voices to hear from! If you have an 11-18 year old in your life - we promise you that they will be changed for the better through service learning in our Youth Volunteer Corps Reading programming. If you have an 18-24 year old in your life we know that our Generation Impact program will empower and activate participants to create a bright future for themselves. Thank you to Christi, Rachel and Christie for starting this all - we hope to continue to make you proud!
