Some baby chick updates from the last week 🐣😍
Tara did a good job keeping the eggs warm, but gave up as the 2nd egg started to hatch. We put the eggs in the incubator and the rest have started hatching. It’s truly incredible to watch!

On Tuesday, we hosted a private “Bee” a Keeper field trip! 🐝These kiddos learned about what happens inside a beehive, the life cycle of a bee, and how to help save the bees and other pollinators 🦋We played The Pollination Game and taste tested 3 types of honey 🍯 Golden Nectar was the winner but many of us also liked the Black and Gold.

Interested in your own field trip? Check our website for more info or send us an email!

Today was a mushroom day at Story Hour 🍄 We read “On a Mushroom Day”, learned about different types of mushrooms, and how it’s important to not eat just any mushroom! We made fairy and gnome houses that look like amanita (do not eat!) and spore prints using portobellos 🍄‍🟫 We had lots of fun hike through the woods looking for mushrooms and even found some real turkey tail!
