SBCA SBCA represents manufacturers of products used to frame residential and light-commercial buildings, including roof trusses, floor trusses and wall panels.

SBCA’s mission is to increase the market acceptance and use of structural building components. It fulfills this mission by promoting the quality and cost-effectiveness of its members’ structural framing products and by establishing best practices for their safe handling and installation on jobsites. SBCA is a leading advocate for building construction innovation. Through its state-of-the-art research and testing facility, SBCRI, SBCA is answering age-old questions on how buildings actually function and helping developers of new construction methods and materials efficiently bring their ideas to market. Our membership also includes professionals and businesses throughout the building construction supply chain, from engineering and design firms to builders, framers and general contractors.

For three days on the National Mall, thousands of people had the opportunity to see structural building components in action.

SBCA’s fifth year exhibiting and third year sponsoring HUD’s Innovative Housing Showcase put the component industry on a national stage, with the Big Green House welcoming policymakers, housing industry leaders, students, media, and the public.

From Trades Day and a visit from HUD Secretary Scott Turner to panel discussions and stakeholder conversations, SBCA was there to help ensure our industry has a voice in discussions about the future of housing.

It was an incredible opportunity to showcase what our industry already does every day and demonstrate how structural building components can contribute to building more homes across the country.

The 2026 Innovative Housing Showcase has come to a close! It was a great event, with so many good conversations about structural building components. Thanks to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for another great event!
