We’re excited to recognize Big Sky Community Food Bank as an official Big Sky Sustainable Business Achievement recipient 🎉

“ We’re helping to make Big Sky a livable and sustainable year-round community for all.”

Big Sky Community Food Bank is using sustainability as a way to provide resources for all community members in Big Sky. Their food donation system works towards keeping food out of the trash and into the homes of those who need it.

A few highlights from their achievement:

🥫Food donation and rescue programs
♻️ Recycling materials and reusing plastic bags
🪱Composting any food waste that is not reusable

These kinds of practical choices help keep food out of the trash, reuse resources, and give back to the community.

🥘 Free Healthy Cooking Class + FREE Instant Pot!

Looking to stretch your grocery budget while making healthy, delicious meals? Montana State University Extension is offering a FREE virtual Cooking & Healthy Eating Series this August and September!

Participants will explore:
* Eating healthy
* Increasing physical activity
* Creating healthy meals using the Instant Pot
* Keeping a well-stocked pantry
* Stretching food dollars

You may qualify if you:
✔️ Feed a child under 19 in your household (or are pregnant), or are an emerging adult ages 20–29
✔️ Receive (or qualify for) SNAP, WIC, free/reduced school meals, TANF, or similar assistance programs

Choose the session that works best for you:
📅 Wednesdays (Aug. 19–Sept. 23), 9–10 a.m.
or
📅 Fridays (Aug. 21–Sept. 25), Noon–1 p.m.
