Good morning Rotarians and friends!

Our first meeting of April is upon us — see you at noon today at the Chamber building!

Our speaker will be from Save Our Key Deer, and we'll have a taco bar with rice and beans for lunch. 🌮

Our Easter Egg Hunt is tomorrow morning at Big Pine Park at 9 am. If you have a few minutes around 8 am to help hide eggs, the help would be greatly appreciated — the whole event is less than an hour!

The Lower Keys Rotary, (MCSO) Monroe County Sheriff's Office and FWC bring you Annual Kids Fishing Tournament . It was absolutely FREE. Then first 250 kids from the ages of 5 to 12 got a Rod and Reel that they got to keep and we went through all of them. There were lots of food and bicycles for the winner.

We need to thank some people for making this possible, Triton Seacenter, Seacamp Association, Inc., First State Bank of the Florida Keys, Sellers Insurance, Sweetwater Homes, Community Foundation of the Florida Keys for their grant, giving us the money to buy all of these rods and reels. Lower Keys Tackle for giving us a great deal on those rods and reels, donating tackle and all of the bait (we ran out and they brought even more you have a great crew Donna) , The Lower Keys Guides Association for stringing up all of those poles. Lisa Ferringo, and The Women of the Moose on Big Pine for donating 8 bicycles, Waste Management for donating the Porta Potties, Coca Cola, Winn Dixie, Dunkin Donuts for the 500 Donuts that they gave away along with Gallons of Coffee. Centennial Bank for giving out hundreds of free Hot Dogs, the countless businesses that donated prizes and our friend John Gabay with the Sheriff's office! He puts a lot of time and effort into making sure that all of the kids got a prize.

Thanks to all of you, it's the people and the businesses here that make things like this possible!
