Special thanks to Joe Toner Executive Director of the CT State Building trades, Mike Grabowski president of the Hartford/New Britain Building trades, and last but not least, all are friends in Bristol for hosting a Mayoral, City Council & Legislative breakfast last Saturday. We all have our own beliefs when it comes to politics, I’m just here to spread awareness that Bristol Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu and her team save Union laborer a seat at the table.

For union members, this is about protecting our standards, our wages, and the benefits we’ve fought for at the bargaining table. Strong enforcement supports union contractors who play by the rules, protects skilled union jobs, stops wage theft, and helps make sure taxpayer money on public work is spent responsibly. The Arthur E. Coia Scholarship & Education Fund is now accepting applications for 2026. This scholarship provides financial assistance to eligible LIUNA members, their spouses, and their children who are pursuing undergraduate education. Local 611 Annual Christmas Party & Toy Drive – Event Summary 🎁

Local 611 is pleased to announce that our Annual Christmas Party and Toy Drive was a tremendous success. We extend our sincere appreciation to all members and families, who participated and contributed.

Thanks to your generosity, we collected an impressive number of toys that will be distributed to children and families in need throughout our community this holiday season. Your support reflects the strong commitment and solidarity that define Local 611.

Our Connecticut Laborers' District Council is committed to uplifting the communities our LIUNA members live and work in!

🎣When United Way of Southeastern Connecticut sent out a mayday call to reel in 2,025 cans of tuna in response to the growing food insecurity crisis, the LIUNA New England Region answered with a boatload of generosity and donated 7,087 cans! 🥫
Together, we’re proving that a rising tide truly lifts all boats. 🚣🛳️
