Since 1976, Berkeley High School Jazz, one of California’s top award-winning high school jazz bands, has played jazz festivals in Europe, Japan, and California including the Next Generation Jazz Festival at the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Hailed for its spirited performances, Berkeley High School Jazz has launched the careers of some of the best musicians in the jazz world, including Joshua Redman, Peter Apfelbaum, Benny Green, Ambrose Akinmusire, and Dave Ellis.

The 2 o’clock and 3 o’clock bands are on Wednesday night.

Ensemble and the 11 o’clock bands are on Thursday.

Both are 7 to 9 pm. Get tickets in advance or at the door. Students and staff are free.

- Tuesday, February 17: Ten O’clock and Eleven O'clock Bands
- Wednesday, February 18: Two O'clock and Three O'clock Bands
- Thursday, February 19: Jazz Ensemble and Combo A (the top student-led small group)
