We are so thankful to our friends at Paws Claws & Stalls Pet Lodge for hosting our Hatchi. He is such a love bug looking for his FUR-ever home.

🐾❤️ There’s just something special that warms your heart…

When you walk by a kennel and see a dog from our local Morgan County Humane Society, who is here simply to catch a little break from the noise and commotion of construction and renovations, lying completely relaxed on his back with all four paws in the air. 🥹❤️

Meet Hatchi! 🐶

When the Humane Society reached out about giving Hatchi a quieter place to stay during their renovations, we were more than happy to donate his boarding and welcome him to Paws Claws & Stalls Pet Lodge.

And goodness, has he made himself right at home! 😂❤️

Hatchi has been such a joy to have around, and moments like this remind us why we love what we do. Seeing a shelter pup feeling this comfortable, safe, and content is something pretty special.

But as much as we’re enjoying having Hatchi here, what we’d really love is to see him find a forever home of his very own. 🏡❤️

Hi! My name is Jasmine! I am a very playful and sweet kitty ♥️. I was found as a stray when I was a kitten, but thankfully I was rescued by a very nice lady! Unfortunately, she was unable to keep me, but simply fostered me until I could get into a home or shelter. I hope you take some time to meet with me and love on me! I could use a lot of reassurance right now.

We are grateful for the incredible response to our Pet Food Pantry program!

Because demand is growing, we MUST continue to ensure that free dog and cat food assistance remains available to residents of Morgan County, the county we are chartered to serve.

📍 A 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐃 with a Morgan County address will be required when receiving assistance.

💙 Our staff and volunteers work hard to serve the community with 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭. We ask that all visitors do the same.

Meet Lucy! ❤️🥺

Isn't she such a gorgeous girl?

Unfortunately Lucy's parents recognized that she was too much for them, and made the decision to find her a more suitable home.

Lucy is an 8-9 month old female German Shepherd Dog.

Lucy initially came from a breeder that produces "working line German Shepherds". (We don't have specific info. Nor do we know why her breeder couldn't or wouldn't take her back.)

However, it is important for us to differentiate the difference between a dog like Lucy, and "show" type German Shepherd Dogs.

This means this girl came from lines that were bred specifically for stamina, drive, and performance.

Lucy was bred to have purpose. Whether that purpose is to "work" in a traditional sense or "work" at home being a productive companion to her family.

👉🏻Lucy is incredibly intelligent.
👉🏻Lucy has lots of drive (especially toy and ball motivated!)
👉🏻Lucy can be extremely exhuberant, but seems manageable (especially when her energy is focused on something specific.)

Lucy is also incredibly obedient (with the appropriate direction.)

We spent very little time with Lucy today, but she took direction well during the short time we spent with her. She appears confident, although she was a little unsure of the kennels at first.

Lucy would benefit from a home that is very savvy of German Shepherds and/or higher drive working dogs.

Even if Lucy isn't placed to "work" in a traditional K9 working environment, it would be wonderful to find her a home with someone that does dog sports (or can otherwise give her the active environment she needs to thrive!)

Lucy is a personable, gorgeous, young dog with LOTS of potential!

WE ARE HEADED TO THE ER VET WITH CHARLEY.

He still cannot stand up unassisted, and he is still very reluctant to put weight on his rear leg.

He has been happy, spunky, and very mobile all week! We have no idea what's going on with this poor guy.

Charley needs help NOW! 🚨📣

We do not have the resources to do the in-depth care and diagnostics this guy needs. Nor does he deserve to sit in a concrete kennel in this condition.

We are praying a rescue steps up to help this sweet boy. 🙏
