Today we raised $204!!! 🙌❤️

Our goal was $150, and you all absolutely BLEW that goal out of the water! We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who donated, purchased baked goods, shared the post, or simply stopped by to show support. 🥹❤️

But we’re not done yet! TOMORROW, the baked goods will be INSIDE the Green Farm Stand and available ALL DAY! 🍪🧁

We’re setting a new goal of $250 for tomorrow! 🎯

We have a warrior coming home, and we would love to come together as a community to help make the transition a little easier for them and their family as they adjust to some changes.

Transparency and trust are at the very root of what we do at Hopeful Roots, so we want to share a small but important change to the way we will handle requests for assistance moving forward.

Recently, we helped facilitate a fundraiser for an individual based on information provided to us regarding an urgent crisis. We have since learned that significant portions of that information were not accurate, and we have concerns that funds raised may not have been used for the purposes represented.

To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

Unfortunately, situations like this don’t only affect the people who generously donated. They make it harder for those who are truly experiencing a crisis and genuinely need a community to rally around them.

Because we have a responsibility to protect our donors, our organization, and the people we serve, all future requests for financial assistance will require additional documentation and verification before fundraising or funds are provided.

We hate that dishonesty has made additional barriers necessary for people who are legitimately struggling. But the work of Hopeful Roots is built on trust, and when our community gives, they deserve to know their generosity is reaching the need they were told it would.

One unfortunate experience will not change our heart for helping others. It will simply make us more intentional about protecting the roots of trust that allow hope to grow. 🤎

We will keep showing up. We will keep helping. And we will keep doing everything we can to help hope take root where it’s needed most.

Barb Stroder, thank you for handling the bake sale. Amanda Banic and her helper, thank you for helping with popcorn, the raffle, and 50/50. Senica Cotman, thank you for running the concession stand. To anyone who missed it, I am truly grateful for each and every one of you; I couldn't have pulled this off without you all.

What an incredible night! 🤍🤎💚

Our very first Quarter Auction was a huge success, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, we raised over $1,400 in just a few hours to help support our nonprofit’s mission and dreams.

To every business and individual who donated prizes, every volunteer who gave their time, and every single person who came out to support us—thank you. Your kindness and belief in what we’re building means more than words can express.

From our roots to every new leaf, we’re continuing to grow and bloom because of the support of communities. Every donation, every bid, every share, and every encouraging word helped make this night possible.

This is only the beginning, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us turn a dream into reality. We truly couldn’t do this without each and every one of you.
