🚨 Benbrook Community, We Need Your Help 🚨

Our WorldWear donation bins at Benbrook Elementary are intended for clothing, shoes, and other accepted textile items only. Unfortunately, we’re seeing an increase in items being left outside the bins, turning the area into a dumping ground.

Please remember: if it doesn’t fit inside the bin, it cannot be accepted.

Why it matters:
💙 Benbrook Elementary PTA receives a percentage back from donations collected through the WorldWear program.
💙 Those funds go directly back to supporting our teachers, students, and school programs.
💙 Donations are reused or recycled, helping keep textiles out of landfills and supporting communities around the world.

Please do not leave items beside the bins, even if the bin appears full. Items left outside can become damaged, create safety concerns, and jeopardize this valuable fundraising program.

HUGE SHOUT OUT!!!! Our 5th grade class is headed to Waco tomorrow for our class trip. We had this idea to all have matching shirts! This has been a challenge to say the least. BUT these two companies have stepped up in the most amazing way to make this happen! Thank you thank you thank you to Arabie Media Co. for the design and purchase of our beautiful shirts and to ellianas_little_boutique for going above and beyond making sure every one of us had a shirt. Even when we were placing VERY last minute orders!

We’re getting excited for our Spring Fling and need your help to make it a success!

We are asking for donations of:
🥤 2-liter sodas — any brand, any flavor
🧁 Desserts for our Cake Walk
📅 Soda donations can be brought in during the week of May 11–15 and given to the front office or teachers.
🍰 Desserts may be dropped off the day of the event, May 15, by 4:00 PM.

Don’t worry, you can still buy tickets at the gate, but pre-sale tickets get you a wristband for quick entry! Wristbands will be sent home on Friday in your child’s folder!

Benbrook Elementary PTA has something special planned each day for Teacher Appreciation Week, but we’d love for families to join in too!!

Here are some easy ways to join in on the fun and show up for our teachers:

Monday – Fueled for Success
🍿Send your teacher their favorite drink or snack

Tuesday – Taco ‘Bout Amazing
🌮Write a thank you note or have your student draw a picture

Wednesday – Self Care Day
🧴Send a self care item (lotion, candle, chapstick, cozy socks etc)

Thursday – You Make a Difference
🎁Gift card day (Target, Amazon, anything they love)

Friday – You’re a Gift!
✨Surprise them with their favorite snack or gift card to their favorite restaurant
