People often ask why The Salvation Army offers so many different services and programs. The programs and services differ in order to meet the unique needs of the people in the communities we serve. We take a holistic approach to Doing the Most Good where there is the most need, without discrimination, whether it be disaster relief, emergency assistance, substance abuse rehabilitation, or educational programs for children. If you find yourself in need, whether that need be practical, recreational, spiritual or emotional, we hope you will seek our assistance. If you would like to get involved with The Salvation Army and volunteer or donate to our cause, we invite you to explore some options we have tailored for you. Throughout this time there have been millions of members, and people have been helped right across the world – but this movement had humble beginnings. You can discover the global legacy of The Salvation Army at story.salvationarmy.org.

Today, we commemorate National Donut Day, a tradition originating from WWI when Salvation Army Lassies prepared donuts for soldiers on the frontline. Captain Nancy and I had the privilege of visiting local fire, police, and sheriff's departments to express our gratitude with donuts, acknowledging their service and dedication to our communities. The Salvation Army in Belvidere is committed to serving our communities, and this gesture honors those who partner with us to enhance our service. We extend our heartfelt thanks.

Youth Night was so Awesome, we continued our studies on the book of Proverbs then we ate sloppy Joe’s thanks to sister Graciela for cooking. We played volleyball, frisbees, horse shoe, hula hoops, paddle ball, and some football. Always thankful for Krystal and Mr Kelly for helping us and hanging out.

Luego salimos afuera a jugar volleyball, frisbees, horse shoe, hula hoop, paddle ball y futbol americano/ siempre agradecidos con Krystal y el Señor Kelly por ayudarnos y compartir con nosotros.
