Big Tech is building AI data centers in our communities, and Black neighborhoods are paying the price with dirtier air, higher energy bills, and strained water supplies. That's not progress.

Rest In Power…

Sixty-three years ago today, Medgar Evers returned home to his family only to be met with an assassin's bullet before he could even reach his front door.

The 37-year old father of three, husband, and NAACP leader's life and voice were stolen from us in a senseless act of racial violence.

Today, we honor his courage, his sacrifice, and his unwavering dedication to the fight for justice, equity, and voting rights.

His legacy lives on in each of us. May the movement continue to move forward in his memory.

Were excited to invite everyone to our Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 12:00 PM in the Wisconsin State Capitol Rotunda.

This year’s theme, “What freedom looks like, yesterday, today, and tomorrow,” honors the history, resilience, and achievements of Black communities in Wisconsin. Our featured keynote speaker Camden Hargrove, Alder for the City of Menomonie and the first Black, openly trans man elected to public office in Wisconsin.

Come reflect, celebrate, and envision a brighter, more equitable tomorrow with us. All are welcome!
