The Miss Beloit's Crown AcadeME, a subsidiary of the national Miss America program, will be offered in conjunction with the Miss Beloit competition. The program will not be judged, which means every child is a winner. Miss Beloit's Crown AcadeME is open to any child age 5-12 and the cost to enter is $100. Spots are limited for this program. Part of the proceeds of the program will go toward scholarships for the Miss Beloit candidates. Each Crown AcadeME participant will receive a tiara/crown, sash and gift. All Crown AcadeME participants will also have a special party prior to the competition with Miss Beloit, Miss Beloit’s Outstanding Teen and all of the Miss Beloit/Miss Beloit’s Outstanding Teen candidates. At the party, each participant will have their picture taken by a professional photographer, learn about the different areas of competition in which the Miss Beloit candidates will participate, spend time with the candidates, have punch and cookies, and more. On the night of the Miss Beloit competition, the Crown AcadeME participants will be crowned on stage by Miss Beloit and Miss Beloit’s Outstanding Teen. Each Crown AcadeME participant will have her photo featured in the Miss Beloit program book. Through Miss Beloit's Crown AcadeME, young participants will learn what it is like to be a Miss Beloit candidate. Above all, it will be a chance for them to develop their sense of self, enhance their self-confidence, and gain friends that could last a lifetime!
