Strong Like AK We are a diverse group sharing a passion for supporting pediatric cancer patients in our community. Strong Like AK was formed upon Adam's initial diagnosis.

We needed a way to communicate with the army of support that surrounded Adam and our family. What started as a small group has now blossomed into a community of more than 5,000 supporters. Adam began to touch hearts all over the world, some of which he will never know. So many were in awe of the bravery and stoicism Adam showed throughout his journey. Three words often stand out when thinking of A

dam and his journey: Strength, Love, and Unity. He was one of the STRONGEST you would ever meet who had an abundance of LOVE for life, friends, and family. The UNITY between our blended family throughout this journey is something we consider very special and something Adam was very proud of. These three words serve as a foundation of the support Strong Like AK has to offer so many throughout the pediatric cancer community. We are thankful for our army of supporters and are looking forward to a bright future of supporting pediatric cancer patients and families within our community while honoring the life and memory of Adam M. Kincaid.

We already have 45 amazing women leading the way through the Strong Like AK Women’s Impact Giving Circle, and we would love for you to join them. 💙

The Women’s Impact Giving Circle brings women together through exclusive events each quarter while creating meaningful impact for families facing childhood cancer.

For just $50 per quarter, members help provide comfort, financial care, and lasting memories for children and families who need it most.

Our upcoming Q2 member event will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, beginning promptly at 6:00 PM at a private residence in Belmont, NC.

The evening will feature:
✨ A paint & sip experience with The Tipsy Palette, NC
✨ Elevated bites from Graze and Piece Charcuterie
✨ Connection, purpose, and community

We can’t let today pass without celebrating a moment that changed everything for Strong Like AK.

One year ago today, the McClellan Family became the very first family to stay at the Strong Like AK House.

What once felt like a big dream, creating a place where families battling pediatric cancer could stay together at no cost, officially became reality that day.

Over the last year, these walls have held late-night conversations, quiet moments of rest, laughter between treatments, meals shared together, and countless reminders that no family should walk this journey alone.

Because of this incredible community, the Strong Like AK Houses have now provided 405 cost-free nights of housing for families traveling for treatment, saving guests more than $90,000 in medical housing costs.

The Strong Like AK House exists because of Adam Kincaid’s legacy and because of supporters who believed families deserved comfort, care, and hope during the hardest moments of their lives.

To the McClellan Family, thank you for trusting us first. You will always be part of the story of this home.

And to every donor, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped open these doors: thank you. Your kindness continues to make an immediate impact for families facing pediatric cancer.

One week later, and our hearts are still full.

To every golfer who played, every sponsor who gave, every volunteer who served, and every supporter who believes in this mission, thank you.

Together, we raised nearly $60,000 to help families facing pediatric cancer through the mission of Strong Like AK.

Your support means families can stay close to their child during treatment.
It means financial burdens can be eased.
It means moments of joy and comfort can still exist in incredibly hard seasons.

Most importantly, it means families do not walk this journey alone.

Thank you for helping us continue Adam’s legacy of strength, compassion, and hope. 💛

Today feels especially meaningful as we celebrate two incredible Strong Like AK scholarship recipients on their graduation day. 💙🎓

Congratulations to:
✨ — University of North Carolina at Charlotte
✨ — North Carolina State University

Over the past five years, Strong Like AK has awarded $30,000 in scholarship funds to students pursuing their dreams while carrying forward lives marked by strength, resilience, and purpose. In just a few short weeks, we will award an additional $5,000 scholarship to another deserving student.

Watching these young women reach this milestone is a reminder that Adam’s legacy continues to create impact far beyond what we could have imagined. Their futures are bright, and we are so proud to have been a small part of their journeys.

These ladies. This day. Strong Like AK is proud to be part of the Bet on Yourself Family.

Several of our board members and team spent the day at Molly Grantham’s Bet on Yourself Summit 3.0 and it was something special.

We walked away with new ideas, meaningful connections, and a simple reminder: growth comes in waves and ripples.

At Strong Like AK, that’s what we try to do every single day. We step forward for families facing childhood cancer by offering comfort, financial care, and moments that matter, because that’s what Adam would do.

Being part of the “Bet on Yourself” family this year as a sponsor meant even more to us. Molly’s connection to our story runs deep, Adam was a Molly’s kid and over the years, that relationship has grown into something we’re incredibly grateful for. From day one, she has stood beside us as the emcee and auctioneer of our gala, helping us carry this mission forward.

Today was a refreshing reminder that it takes community, it takes heart, and it takes people willing to believe in something bigger when you are betting on yourself.
