On Monday, we had a full course for our Annual Chesapeake Challenge Golf Tournament in support of the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill.

Thank you to every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, and supporter, together the event raised $168,000 to support compassionate end-of-life care.

Several members of UM Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation’s 1912 Society were recently recognized for their generous planned giving support. Legacy giving is a meaningful way to invest in the health of our community for generations to come. To date, more than 70 individuals have joined the Foundation’s 1912 Society, choosing to support vital service lines including Cancer LifeNet, the Senator Bob Hooper House, the Klein Family Center and Danny and Gail Jones Primary Care in their estate plans.

The 13th Annual Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk brought our community together once again in support of Cancer LifeNet at the Kaufman Cancer Center.

🎉 It’s almost here—TOMORROW, Saturday, May 9, is the 13th Annual Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk at The John Carroll School (703 E Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014).

Our community continues to support one another through this special event, with more than 400 registered walkers raising over $80,000 (and counting)—all to benefit Cancer LifeNet at the Kaufman Cancer Center. WE THANK YOU!

Registration: Day-of registration and pre-registration check-in opens at 8:30 AM. Volunteers will be ready to assist all day-of registrants. Registration is $25 for adults; children 12 & under are free. Those who qualify: the first 400 participants to register and donate $50+ will receive a collectible 13th Annual Walk fleece blanket.

Ceremonial Walk: The ceremonial program and walk begin at 9:00 AM. The walk will be held on the turf fields, where participants will complete four laps. Attendees are also welcome to participate and cheer from the stadium seating if they prefer.

Parking: Parking volunteers will be on-site upon arrival to direct you to available parking areas. If you need handicap parking, please call 410-627-6983. A golf cart will be available to assist participants who need transportation support.

• Pets are not permitted.

Join us in celebrating Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 7, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Kaufman Cancer Center. Our 2026 event focuses on the champions among us, because not all (super)heroes wear capes. This special event honors the strength, courage and resilience of cancer survivors and promises a joyful atmosphere with refreshments, music and plenty of fun for attendees.
