June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, a time to promote brain health, support those affected by dementia, and raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.

At The Elliot, we are committed to making a hospital stay as comfortable as possible. Dementia- friendly activity carts on each unit are stocked with comfort items such as fidget blankets, stuffed animals, books games, and many other tools to help reduce anxiety.

The skies were clear, and the sun was shining at the Elliot Health System Golf Classic last Thursday, June 4th at the Passaconaway Country Club! We raised over $81,000 for critical care resources and advanced critical care equipment for the Elliot Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and our Intensive Care Unit, supporting patients needing critical care support related to surgery or traumatic injury.

We had an incredible time this past Sunday at the SNHU Campus for our Annual Walk for Hope, supporting The Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at The Elliot! Almost 650 community members came out to walk with us, and nearly 50 cancer survivors were honored. We are proud to announce that over $85,000 has been raised so far for the Solinsky Center for Cancer Care! We couldn’t be more grateful.

A huge thank you to our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who joined us —we hope you had just as much fun as we did! We’re already looking forward to next year.

Let's give a warm welcome to Amanda DeAngelis, our new Event Specialist on the MJE Team! Amanda is from Londonderry, where she was born and raised. She graduated from the New Hampton School and earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Suffolk University in Boston. Amanda is very engaged in her community and is thrilled to build new connections through her role as an event specialist, which she holds in high regard both personally and professionally! In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and staying active by participating in women’s leagues, having played college basketball and being the first female player in her school's history to receive the title of "player of the year." Additionally, she loves coaching younger kids in basketball.
