Global Country Music Association has a unique ambassadorship that we are very excited about. The GCMA Ambassadors Committee thoughtfully considers those most appropriate, internationally, and each special individual is chosen and recognized for her/his unique contributions and most valued characteristics.
Exceptionally talented, Grammy-nominated, singer-songwriter, Brandy Clark is passionate about advocating for women in country music. Brandy currently signed a new publishing contract with Big Machine Record Label. Brandy was already an established well-known songwriter with multiple number one hits, and on October 22, 2013 she released her debut album 12 Stories. We are honored that she has accepted. We appreciate all that she has done for country music.
Jessica Murski is a fresh young talent that we have welcomed, as she is a gifted song writer who advocates for women in the industry. She is a beacon of light for equality for women in country music who has a kind heart that is as big as Texas.
Lesley Hastings from England writes for online magazine “Belles and Gals,” and she daily advocates for women in country music. She keeps the world informed of all-things country, with a platform so women can be heard. She remains on the front lines in support of women.
American Idol Season 12 finalist, Janelle Arthur, released her brand-new single, “Runnin’ From My Roots”. This is the title-track of her new movie that premiered on November 8, 2018. She is an advocate for women in country music, talented singer-songwriter, and actress. Janelle began singing in the Smokey Mountains at the age of 8 years old and grew up in East Tennessee. She currently lives in Nashville and performs at The Grand Ole Opry frequently.
The Voice season 4, top 6 with a four chair turn, Holly Tucker has proven coach Blake Shelton right. He described Holly as “the most effortless, accurate, and powerful voice he’s ever heard.” Holly is currently Texas Country Music Association’s reigning FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR, two years running. Holly is from Waco, TX and her newly released song, “Country Music Won’t Let Me,” shows her amazing talent. Holly is such an advocate for women in country music.
Kelli and Kayla Iutzwig are two sisters from Houston, TX and make up the duo Wild Fire. The sisters have been performing from a very young age. They play guitar and write their own original music. Wild Fire have released a number of singles and their music can be found all over social media. In 2018, Wild Fire won FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR in the Young Adult category at the Josie Music Awards. Kelli and Kayla advocate for women in country because they are role models to younger girls who dream big. They want those girls to follow their dreams just as they have.
Taylor Dee is a country singer/songwriter from Royse City, TX. She is an advocate for women in country music and stands strong for her beliefs. Taylor will be headed to Nashville to record her EP. She is currently performing with Chad Roland who will be heading to Nashville with Taylor to record with her. Taylor Dee is up for the Texas Solo Artists Awards for Dallas, TX. We are excited to have Taylor Dee join our collective voices in supporting female country artists.
The GCMA Ambassadors Committee will be offering ambassadorship roles of various titles to both women and men across the globe, with an additional special interest in women’s advocacy. We will have seasons in which we would like to hear from you about who you would like for us to consider as a GCMA Ambassador.
