This September, we are honored to host Walking with Jesus: A Retreat for Parents of Estranged Adult Children, a day of reflection, support, and spiritual renewal for parents navigating the struggle of estrangement.

Led by Deacon Henry de Mena, M.A., a grief counselor with more than 20 years of experience, this Catholic retreat offers an opportunity to step away from the noise, connect with others who understand, and find hope and encouragement along the journey.

Sometimes, being a Light For Beaufort is as simple as getting behind the wheel ❤️🚗

For many neighbors without reliable transportation, getting to a medical appointment or accessing an essential service can be a significant challenge. That's where our Angel Drivers come in! 🙌

This July, our volunteers stepped up in a BIG way, with multiple drivers taking on several rides throughout the month. Thanks to their willingness to keep showing up, our Angel Rides program more than DOUBLED its completed rides compared with July of last year - Our biggest month to date! 🎉

But behind that growth is something even more meaningful: more neighbors in Beaufort County gaining access to the help, hope, and care they need!

We're especially grateful for the drivers who continue to say yes, not just once, but again and again. Their willingness to volunteer their time (and their wheels 🚙) is helping make our community stronger, happier, and healthier.

To every Angel Driver: Thank you for driving the difference for our neighbors in-need! ❤️

Recovery is worth the walk, and no one should have to walk alone! 💜👟

September is Recovery Month, a time to celebrate the strength, courage, and hope found in recovery and to remind our community that support is available.

On September 12th, the Beaufort community is invited to come together for Recovery Is Worth the Walk, a free event at Burton Wells Park. Walk alongside neighbors, connect with local organizations, and help bring awareness and support to recovery in Beaufort County! 🙌

A hub of hope, right here in Beaufort! 🙌❤️

We’re grateful to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston for sharing the story of Lowcountry Outreach and the vision behind what is happening under our roof.

What began as a mission to create a welcoming place where people could find help, hope, and care has grown into a collaborative community serving neighbors in many different ways!

Today, 20+ partners, programs, and services come together under our roof, bringing resources closer to the people who need them and creating opportunities for organizations, volunteers, churches, and community members to work together.

Through the generosity of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaufort, SC, the dedication of our partners and volunteers, and the support of our community, we’re able to bring more opportunities, resources, and support to the people of Beaufort County. 🙏

On Monday, August 31st, we're pleased to host a FREE Healthy Aging Workshop with Pause Wellness Company, exploring the habits that help people around the world live healthier, more fulfilling lives 🙌

This engaging session will introduce the 5 Habits from the Blue Zones and provide practical tips you can incorporate into your daily routine, no matter where you are on your wellness journey!

🎓 Behind every student's success is someone who believed in them. Could that someone be you?

Our Free SAT Tutoring Program has helped numerous Beaufort County students prepare for college, and as we're preparing to welcome in the next round of students later this month at both Lowcountry Outreach and Whale Branch Early College, we're looking for volunteers to help continue that mission! 🙏❤️

You don't have to be a current teacher to make a difference! If you're a retired educator or someone with strong math or English skills and passion for teaching, your knowledge and encouragement could help students build confidence, improve their SAT scores, and unlock new scholarship and college opportunities.

With years of advanced experience and a heart for supporting caregivers, Debbie helps navigate the challenges of caregiving through person-centered strategies, practical guidance, and compassionate support.
