Bayport Elementary Parent Group

The purpose of the Bayport Elementary Parent Group shall be to strengthen the partnership between home, school, and the community.

It is also to raise funds for non-district provided capital and requested items for student enrichment.

The first two days are done! Everyone has survived! ❤️👏🏻

BEPG’s Appreciation Committee treated our amazing staff to a root beer float social after school today! 🍦🥤 After a long week of Ready-Set-Go conferences and navigating all the new challenges, excitement, and yes, maybe a little stress that comes with being in a brand-new school… we thought they deserved a little something sweet.

Yesterday, we officially welcomed two new members to the board! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Maddi Hunt and Michaela Knodle!

We also voted on our new organization name for next school year. While there were so many great ideas, we decided to keep it simple and connected to our new school community.

Starting next year, we will officially be known as:

✨ Bayport Elementary Parent Group (BEPG) ✨

As we head into this exciting new chapter as BEPG, we would love to welcome even more parents, caregivers, and family members to get involved! Whether you’re interested in joining the Appreciation Committee, helping at events, sharing ideas, or simply staying connected, there’s a place for everyone in our group.

You do not have to commit to a board position to be involved, even helping once or twice throughout the year makes a huge impact on our students, staff, and school community. We’re always looking for new faces, fresh ideas, and helping hands! 💙

Tuesday is shaping up to be an important night at Andersen ❤️

We’re wrapping up an amazing year with:
🍦 A BONUS Mabel’s Giveback Night which will be perfect for our
🎶 Band & Orchestra concerts that will be happening tomorrow! PLUS… Mabel’s is giving back 15% of proceeds to Andersen Elementary from 2–7 PM, so grab a treat after the concerts or sometime after school.

AND

🎉 It's our final APG meeting of the year (and final one ever as APG!) at 6:45pm in the media center! Whether you want to get more involved next year, meet other parents, help plan fun events, or just see what we’re all about, we’d love to have you join us. 🎉 WE DID IT!! 🎉

The title is officially BACK! And wow… this was a CLOSE one.... we won by less than $15!! 😱🏆

A reminder that all students will receive a coupon for FREE ice cream! 🍦

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the event, and helped make this year’s Mabel’s May Madness such a huge success. Because of your support, we’ll also receive over $400 back from the event!

What an amazing event for our school community and a way to leave our mark as "Andersen"! 💙

For Teacher Appreciation Week, our Appreciation Committee stocked the staff lounge with all kinds of treats and snacks to give our amazing teachers and staff a little extra fuel as we head into the final few weeks of school! 🍎✨

Today we celebrated our amazing school nurses in honor of National Nurse Week (we missed you today, Nurse Amanda!). We are so grateful for the care, kindness, and support they show our students every single day, whether it’s a scraped knee or a tough day.

As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, our staff also enjoyed a delicious meal from Son’s Deli for lunch.....yum!!!!

None of this would be possible without our incredible Appreciation Committee, part of the Andersen Parent Group (APG). Their thoughtfulness and hard work truly make a difference for our staff.

We’d love for you to join us! Our next APG meeting is Tuesday, May 12 at 6:45 PM in the media center. We’re looking for parents and caregivers who are interested in helping with the Appreciation Committee or joining the APG Board. The time commitment is low and flexible, pretty much just help when you can!

Come be part of something positive and fun as we plan for next school year. We’d love to have you there!
